Spofforth Street Roadworks

Monday 14 October – Monday 18 November 2013 Completed

North Sydney Council in conjunction with Mosman Council and Roads & Maritime Services will shortly commence works in Spofforth Street – between Military Road and Rangers Avenue. The work involves the demolition of the existing road pavement from kerb to kerb and replacement with full depth asphaltic concrete. The work will be undertaken in stages.
Stage One (1) from Military Road to Cabramatta Road is expected to commence on the night of Monday, 14th October 2013, weather and other factors permitting. Stage One (1) work should be completed within two (2) weeks.
Work will be done at night from 9.00pm – 5.00am in accordance with the Traffic Management Centre’s  requirements to minimise the impact on traffic flow. There will be site specific traffic controls in place during these working hours to create a safe working area. There will be no parking available during work times only and access to properties may be affected. Should your off street parking access be affected by these works, temporary on street parking permits will be available from your respective Council. For North Sydney Council residents please see the works supervisor on-site. For Mosman Council residents please ring 9978 4051 during business hours to arrange for a vehicle specific temporary permit.
The expected duration of night works to complete the whole project down to Rangers Avenue is five (5) weeks.
Council requests that all vehicles be moved from areas indicated by barricading and special Works Zone signage at the proposed work site by 7.00pm on the above commencement date and that no vehicles be parked in this area whilst work is in progress without the contractor’s permission. Failure to comply with this request will only delay the completion of the works and prolong the loss of parking spaces.
All enquiries regarding this work should be directed to North Sydney Council on 9936 8515 . North Sydney and Mosman Councils both regret any inconvenience that this night work may cause and appreciate your co-operation in this matter.
