Council’s contractor Roadworx Surfacing Pty Ltd will be upgrading the pedestrian crossing at Military Road located between Beach Lane and Almora Street. The works are programmed to commence on Sunday 15 June 2014 and estimated to be completed within a week weather permitting. Works will be undertaken during night time from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 am in accordance with Road Maritime Services Traffic Management Centre's requirements to minimise the impact on traffic flow. Access to local residents and emergency vehicles will be permitted during the works; however all other traffic will be restricted. Parking on Military Road will not be permitted from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 am during working hours. Given the heavy machinery required to undertake this type of work, noise disturbance is anticipated; however attempts will be made to minimise impacts to residents. Council requests that all vehicles be moved away from the areas indicated by barricades and work zone signage at the proposed work site by 6:00 pm and that no vehicles be parked in this area whilst the work is in progress without the contractor's permission. Failure to comply with this request will delay the works. Council will enforce the work zone areas and vehicles parked within the work zone may be towed. Work updates will be placed on Council’s website http://works.mosman.nsw.gov.au. If you require a parking permit or have any other special requirements please contact the undersigned on 9978 4051.
