Raised Pedestrian Crossing at Upper Almora Street

Council has engaged TGB as the contractor to install a raised pedestrian crossing at Upper Almora Street, Mosman. The works are to commence in the week commencing 18 January 2016 and are expected be completed within six weeks weather permitting. Council’s contractor will notify the affected residents to confirm the start date of the project closer to commencement.The pedestrian crossing will be located on Upper Almora Street, at its intersection with Military Road and this project is partially funded by the RMS.Traffic and pedestrian control will be in effect as required for the duration of the Works. Parking will be suspended at selected areas during the works.At times some areas of roads and footpath will be closed when it is considered unsafe for vehicle or pedestrian movements but emergency access will be maintained at all times.Please ensure that your vehicles are NOT parked within the ‘Work Zone’ areas for the duration of works and Council requests your cooperation to comply with the temporary traffic control measures.If you require further information or have any concerns please contact Council's Civil Engineer Matthew Poon on 9978 4250.
