Spit Road, Mosman; Footpath Works - Night Works

Monday 16 January – Friday 10 February 2017 Completed

Council’s contractor TGB and Son will be undertaking footpath works on both sides of  Spit Road, Mosman; between Ourimbah Rd and Stanton Ln. The works are programmed to commence at night on16 January 2017 and be completed within four weeks weather permitting. Our contractor will confirm the date of commencement closer to works.
Spit Road is managed by Roads & Maritimes Services and accordingly all works adjacent to the road require approval from the Transport Management Centre of NSW Government Transport for NSW. Council has received approval for these works but in doing so, Transport NSW has restricted working hours to night time only. Unfortunately this will mean noise for some residents as works proceeds along the road.
In an attempt to minimise the impact, Council will limit any demolition work and use of jackhammers to 11.00 pm.
Access along Spit Rd will be restricted during the works; however emergency access will be maintained at all times. Traffic and pedestrian control will be in effect and parking will be suspended along select areas of Spit Rd during the works. Please ensure that your vehicles are NOT parked in the clearly marked areas of Spit Rd for the duration of works and Council requests your cooperation to comply with the temporary traffic control measures. If you require further information or have any concerns please contact Council's Civil Engineer Matthew Poon on 9978 4250.Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
