The Mosman Junction Upgrade is to create a pedestrian friendly street which increases safety and amenity of all users, reinforces the local identity and character of the Mosman Village and creates a vibrant green space for the public including increased opportunities for outdoor dining. The works will include a new pedestrian crossing on Middlehead Road, Bradleys Head Road and Prince Albert Street, landscaping, lighting, closure of the slip lane and outdoor dining area. The project will be conducted in 5 stages and is due to commence after Easter. Stage 1 (April 2018) – eastern side of the roundabout outdoor dining area and footpaths areas outside the Buena. Closure of slip lane. Stage 2 (late April – May 2018) – roundabout and Middle Head Road pedestrian crossing. Includes 10 nights of night works and closure of Middle Head Road. Detour in place. Stage 3 (late May – mid June 2018) – half of Prince Albert Street and half of Bradleys Head Road pedestrian crossings and footpath areas. Patrial road closures. Stage 4 (mid June – late July 2018) - half of Prince Albert Street and half of Bradleys Head Road pedestrian crossings and footpath areas. Patrial road closures. Stage 5 July – early August 2018 – Installation of furniture, landscaping and lighting.
At this stage, no bus stop closures have been implemented.
