Council contractor Planet Civil will be undertaking drainage upgrade works on the western side of Military Road between Almora Street and Gouldsbury Street and the northern side of Gouldsbury Street between Military Road and The Crescent.
The works are programmed to commence the week of 23 September 2024 and are estimated to be completed within 9 weeks weather permitting.
To reduce the impact to traffic on this important corridor, some works will be required to be undertaken at night and this will result in noise and amenity impacts. Council Contractors will work to minimize any disruptions. The work is necessary to address potential flooding impacts to both public and private properties along Military Road.
Traffic and pedestrian control will be in effect and parking will be suspended at clearly marked areas of Military Road and Gouldsbury Street for the duration of works.
Please ensure that your vehicles are NOT parked in areas clearly marked ‘Work Zone’ for the duration of works and Council requests your cooperation to comply with the temporary traffic control measures.
Council has advised the Contractor to minimise possible noise disturbance. However due to the type of machinery used for these works, some noise impacts are unavoidable.
