Introduction
Council’s building contractor Reitsma Constructions is scheduled to commence renovation works to the Georges Heights Pavilion from Wednesday 14 February 2024 and is planned to be completed by June of 2024, weather permitting.
Project Overview
The proposed works involve the construction of a raised outdoor slab to accommodate a set of outdoor tables and chairs, the widening of the western veranda pathway for improved accessibility, installation of solar panels, new planting, painting of the external facade and a refurbishment of the internal room spaces that will include new paint to walls and ceilings, installation of new light fixtures, installation of new sanitary fixtures and toilet hardware.
The public toilets are to remain open for the duration of the renovation.
Works Stages
Stage 1 – Demolition and internal strip-out.
Stage 2 – Internal service-rough in.
Stage 3 – Internal fit-out.
Stage 4 – External facade works.
