Project overview:
The renewal of Mosman Square and the adjoining Village Green is underway to improve spaces for events, markets and outdoor dining and families.
The works incorporate a number of environmental features including low carbon concrete, a water-sensitive design, recycled materials and movable furniture and will see almost two new trees planted for every tree removed.
Key improvements include:
• Enhanced outdoor spaces for community events
• A new interactive playground for children
• Improved lighting and accessibility
• Consistent pavements and materials with less clutter.
While general construction noise and access changes are unavoidable, full pedestrian access, including access to shops, will be maintained at all times.
The majority of the works will be undertaken during normal construction hours from Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm and every Saturday from 8am to 1pm. Some paving works that directly affect business/resident access may be done at night for short periods after prior notification by the contractor.
