NSW Government – South Mosman Wharf Upgrade

South Mosman Wharf is being upgraded as part of the Safe Accessible Transport program to make public transport safe, inclusive and easy to use for all passengers, especially people with disability, older people, people with prams or luggage and people with limited mobility. Upcoming night work: Over the next two weeks, we will continue to install lift components ensuring the lift is correctly installed and operates as intended. When and where we’ll be working: Work will take place over nine consecutive nights from Monday 13 January to Thursday 23 January (excluding Saturdays and Sundays), between 6pm to 10pm, weather conditions permitting. Our other construction activities will continue during standard work hours from 7am to 5pm. We understand night work can be disruptive and apologise for the inconvenience. The wharf upgrade is almost complete and a reopening date will be shared with the community in the coming weeks. What the work involves: • Installation of the lift cart, the device that enables the lift to move and carry passengers • Lift commissioning work which involves thorough testing and verification of the lift, ensuring the lift meets specified dimensions and load bearing capacity. Equipment to be used include small power tools such as drills. Pedestrian and vehicle access will be maintained to properties along Musgrave Street. Managing our impacts: To minimise impacts we will be turning off equipment when not in use and placing equipment and lights as far away as possible from residents. Thank you for your understanding and patience while we carry out this important work.
