Council has engaged High End Civil Pty Ltd to undertake road safety improvements to Cardinal Street near the school and church. The works are scheduled to commence in the week starting 5 January 2026 and are expected be completed within four weeks weather permitting. Council’s contractor will notify the affected residents to confirm the start date of the project closer to commencement.
The works include construction of a median strip, road resurfacing and line marking. The work affects Cardinal Street and Prince Street.
At times some areas of the roads and footpaths will be closed when it is considered unsafe for vehicle or pedestrian movements, but emergency access will be always maintained. Council is liaising with the church to allow access for functions during the construction period. Please ensure that your vehicles are NOT parked within the ‘Work Zone’ areas for the duration of works and Council requests your cooperation to comply with the traffic control measures.
